LAVURI® Alabaster Plaster Casting Powder is characterized by the following special features:

Application:

1. Mix 1 part water and 3 parts LAVURI® Alabaster Plaster Casting Powder.

2. Slowly sprinkle the powder into the water, then stir.

3. Half-fill the mold and distribute the mixture in the mold with a brush. Gentle tapping with a vibrating motion also helps – this will release air bubbles.

4. Fill the mold and insert the pouring hanger. Process within 10 minutes.

5. After approximately 60 minutes, the casting can be removed.

6. Deburr the edges of the casting with a knife or sand with 60/80/120 grit sandpaper.

Instructions - Casting with LAVURI® Alabaster Plaster Casting Powder is so easy:

While stirring, slowly sprinkle 3 parts casting powder into 1 part water and mix until lump-free. Sift beforehand if necessary.

Quickly pour the mixture into the desired mold and gently shake to release any small air bubbles (working time: 10 minutes).

After a hardening time of 30-40 minutes, the object can be removed from the mold. The drying time also depends on the mold size and layer thickness. It is best to let the figure rest for approximately 24 hours after demolding.

If necessary, you can sand the edges with sandpaper or clean them with a knife. Furthermore, you can paint the finished object however you like and customize it completely.

Here's how to achieve different effects when casting with LAVURI® Alabaster Plaster Casting Powder:

Favorite Color: Simply use water colored with liquid paint or pigment powder to mix the ceramic casting powder. Please note that this may extend the drying time!

Shiny Accents: You can sprinkle flakes of metal leaf, glitter, and metallic pigments into the mold beforehand and then carefully pour the mixed mixture on top.

Marble Effect: Add a few drops of color to the mixed casting compound and create rough streaks with a stirring stick – don't overmix. This will create beautiful marbled effects.

To calculate the required amount of casting powder for a specific mold, place it on a scale and fill it with water. Then simply divide the weight of the water by 2 and multiply it by 3 or the mixing ratio.
... If you wish to seal LAVURI® Alabaster Plaster Casting Powder, we recommend a post-treatment with plaster sealant, clear varnish, or wax, or we recommend the higher-quality option, LAVURI® Ceramic Stewalin Powder.

LAVURI® Alabaster Plaster Casting Powder is not water- or weather-resistant. Do not immerse, clean with water, inhale, or swallow.

During hardening, the material can reach higher temperatures, so do not apply it to skin.

Do not pour down the sink – risk of blockage!
